This sweet little thing was rescued from a crack-house. See her pink cast, the one that matches her shirt? Daisy got that cast because she was thrown against a wall. Yes, someone picked up this loving girl and threw her tiny body against a wall, breaking her leg. A human did this to her, and yet, she still loves people and is as affectionate as can be! Thanks to PAWS she is guaranteed the happy ending she so rightly deserves; there are at least 30 people interested in adopting her already.
This morning I photographed two very different stray dogs at PAWS. The first was a huge black Shepherd mix called Saffron. She was as sweet and mellow as can be, but in need of a good bath and grooming. I really had the urge to take her home with me; because of COURSE I need a jumbo-sized black dog to go with my other three! I always seem to be a sucker for the old dogs.
The second dog reminded me a lot of my girl Trixie; she was a black and white pointer. Her name was Tulip, and she seemed very worried and “talked” a lot. She was also very ball-motivated, however, which made for some great photographs! I had a hard time choosing only 3 for Petfinder, but I am pretty sure her family will be coming for her soon, if they haven’t already. This dog was obviously well cared-for, with a silky coat and trimmed nails.
I hope both these sweet gals have happy endings!
